Mena and Missy

Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actress, model and fashion designer. She was born on 13 February 1979. After a brief stint as a fashion model and then a transition to acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s and High Incident. In 1997, she made her debut as a film actor on Nowhere. Following her appearance of American Beauty (for which she received an award from the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her much attention, she completed the transition to major parts. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the title role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Her appearances were in the independent 2002 drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller film Trauma. The year 2004, she appeared in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008 she was cast in a series of movies such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari, a Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad girl has featured in numerous fashion blogs and magazines including Vogue. Suvari has been a supporter and an advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years. In addition, she's involved in charitable organizations that fight breast cancer, and End Violence Against Women.
